Mô tả đặc điểm lâm sàng đặc trưng của trầm cảm sau nhồi máu não trong quần thể người Việt Nam, tỷ lệ trầm cảm sau nhồi máu não (31,3%), những đặc điểm khác biệt giữa trầm cảm sau nhồi máu não và trầm cảm chung, trầm cảm trên các bệnh cơ thể mãn tính là những cái mới có đóng góp cho thực hành lâm sàng của cả chuyên khoa tâm thần và các chuyên khoa liên quan.. Nhận diện được một số yếu tố liên quan với trầm cảm sau nhồi máu não cũng là những đóng góp mới của đề tài, hỗ trợ các thầy thuốc lâm sàng nhận biết một số yếu tố nguy cơ của bệnh nhân nhồi máu não đối với trầm cảm.. .
