Abstract: | New conclusions of the thesis: - This is the first in-depth research thesis on changes in BMD around artificial knee joints in Vietnam. The study has investigated the changes in BMD around the artificial knee joint and related factors. Bone mineral density after 24 months decreased compared with 7 days after surgery in the epicondylar area is 10.65%; the medial tibial plateau is 12.13%; the lateral tibial plateau is 7.1% and the tibial diaphysis is 5.8%. The message of the théis is that the BMD around the artificial knee should be followed up continuously after surgery to have timely intervention and predict the time to replace the joint. - The study has described the results of the primary total knee arthroplasty of 50 patients with 54 total knee arthroplasty. With the average follow-up time of 25.4 months, the results on the KFS scale have excellent rate of 81.48%, good 12.96% and fair 5.56%, with no poor results. Postoperative VAS scale improved: In the acting state, 90.7% of joints had no pain or little pain, 9.3% of joints had mild pain; In the resting state, 96.3% of joints have no pain or little pain, 3.7% of joints have mild pain |
