ABSTRACT: THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SCREENING, BRIEF INTERVENTION FOR PATIENTS WITH ALCOHOL ABUSE AT EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT Study objective: Synthesize the effectiveness of screening, brief intervention for patients with alcohol abuse at emergency department. Subjects and methods: The study was carried out according to the method of the systematic review on the subjects of articles, scientific reports on analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness of screening measures, and quick counseling for emergency patients with alcohol abuse. The study period was from August 2021 to October 2022. Articles will be evaluated for methodological quality, such as randomization, blinding, distribution, and description of stopping participation in the study. Results: The total sample in 12 selected studies was 6261 study subjects. The number of research topics in the US accounts for the majority (58.3%). All topics are designed according to the method of randomized controlled clinical trials, in which the double-blind method accounts for 75%. The main studied output characteristics: AUDIT (Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test) score, AUDIT-C scale, average amount of alcohol per week, average number of days of drinking Average of the month, DrInC (Drinsker’s Inventory of Lifetime Consequences) score, willingness to change behavior scale, results show a decrease in average weekly alcohol intake, a decrease in the percentage of drinking days per month, DrInC score negative effects of alcohol) decreased, the readiness to change contemplation ladder (RCCL) score increased. Conclusion: The studies on the effectiveness of screening and rapid counseling for acute patients with alcohol abuse are mostly appreciated for their scientific and practical significance. Keywords: Screening measures, rapid counseling, alcohol abuse.
