Abstract

Những kết luận mới của luận án: . Vai trò của Laser Diode trong dự phòng và điều trị các bệnh răng miệng ngày càng được hiểu rõ và khẳng định trên toàn cầu. Tuy nhiên, việc áp dụng biện pháp sử dụng Laser diode trong dự phòng và điều trị các bệnh răng miệng nói chung và bệnh quanh răng nói riêng ở nước ta còn nhiều hạn chế, đặc biệt với đối tượng là người cao tuối (NCT). Chúng ta cũng chưa có nghiên cứu nào tổng quát về tình trạng bệnh quanh răng và điều trị bệnh quanh răng bằng Laser diode ở NCT. Nghiên cứu của chúng tôi cung cấp bằng chứng về mảng trống trong bức tranh chung về thực trạng, dự phòng và điều trị bệnh quanh răng trên NCT.. Nghiên cứu của chúng tôi đã cung cấp các bằng chứng khoa học đáng tin cậy dựa trên thiết kế nghiên cứu khoa học và kỹ thuật thu thập thông tin chính xác. Trong đó nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang đã mô tả thực trạng bệnh quanh răng, nhu cầu điều trị và một số yếu tố liên quan tới bệnh quanh răng ở NCT tại địa phương nghiên cứu. Nghiên cứu can thiệp có đối chứng đã chứng minh hiệu quả dự phòng và điều trị bệnh quanh răng của Laser diode trên NCT. Đây là nghiên cứu đầu tiên của Việt Nam sử dụng phương pháp chiếu Laser diode để dự phòng và điều trị bệnh quanh răng cho đối tượng này. Trên cơ sở kết quả của nghiên cứu, chúng tôi đề xuất đưa Laser diode vào sử dụng để dự phòng và điều trị bệnh quanh răng cho NCT..

The role of Diode Laser in dental treatment and prevention is increasingly understood and globally supported. However, application of diode laser therapy in prevention and treatment of dental diseases in general and periodontal diseases in particular is still limited, especially in the elderly. We also have not had any research of overall status of periodontal diseases and its treatment with diode laser on elderly patients. This research provides some evidences for the general picture of status, prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases in the elderly.. Our research provides reliable evidence based on scientific research design and accurate information collecting techniques. Cross-sectional descriptive study has described the status of periodontal diseases, treatment needs and some factors related to periodontal diseases in the elderly of the researched region. Controlled interventional clinical trial proved the effectiveness of diode laser therapy in prevention and treatment on elderly patients with periodontal diseases. This is the first research in Vietnam using diode laser therapy for prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases performed on this patient group. Based on the result of this research, we suggest using diode laser for prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases in elderly patients.
